Our 4 Year Olds
Play and Learn is committed to the total needs of your preschooler. It is our goal to prepare each child for a successful entry into
elementary school. Our four year old children are offered a curriculum represents a broad range of pre-kindergarten
experiences and readiness skills taught in a positive setting.
Our curriculum, toys, books, and equipment have been carefully selected to promote language, movement, thinking, math,
dramatic skills, fine and gross motor skills, and cognitive development. We enhance the total child by allowing time in each day
to display and recognize individual differences and needs.
Language, math, science, and art activities appropriate for each age group are built into each day's lesson plan. Pre-reading
skills, including an introduction to phonics, and math concepts are integrated throughout the program. Community awareness is
encouraged through social studies about self, family, and community helpers. Many opportunities for free expression in art,
music, storytelling, and creative play complete our early childhood development program.
In addition to our excellent curriculum activities, we also provide a special program that helps to foster a love of music through a
variety of seasonal, educational, and entertaining songs.
