| Our Mission Our mission is to give each child the freedom to explore, the confidence to ponder mysteries, the wonder of imagination, and the joy of learning while building self-esteem, independence, and creativity. Giving children the best start, that's what we do at Play & Learn. |
As working adults in a fast paced society, we sometime forget just how precious and fleeting those years are. Children are
natural learners and love to explore new environments and the materials they contain. They learn more from birth to fire years
than any other time in their life.
"When I Do, I Learn" Readiness to learn is not only determined by the developmental levels of the child, but by the educational
environment. Maximum learning can only occur when the child is actively involved in the learning process. In this context, early
childhood specialists agree unanimously that balanced play is fundamental to the young child's total development and learning.
With that in mind, imagine an alternative to the traditional preschools that function as a play group where children only play with
their favorite things, never exploring other subjects or areas of thought. Instead, imagine a whole, new way of learning.
At Play and Learn, there is a balance between free play and regular small group involvement; between independent activity and
socially oriented activities. Equipment which involves the use of both large and small muscles is provided. Activities which
encourage creativity and imagination are important to the child's total development and are offered daily. Teacher guided
exploration of themes related to the child's everyday world and experience is an integral part of our curriculum. Our program is
well balanced, giving children the chance to explore ALL areas of learning so that they learn ALL of the basics.
Now imagine this at a cost less than that of the combination of conventional preschool and specific interest based children's
programs such as art and dance classes.
The Play and Learn Preschool Program is exclusively for children from 18 months old to 6 years old. Our Preschool dedicates its
efforts and resources toward ensuring top rated care giving services coupled with a high quality activity based learning
environment tailored for children. Play and Learn will respond to the needs of its parents and students with excellent care giving,
instruction, advanced curriculum, and flexible programs. Our program is a "hands on" learning environment allowing children to
learn through actions.
Our Day Care Program currently serves children from 18 months old to 12 years old. In addition, all day care students also
participate in either the Preschool Program or in Scholastic Review (homework assistance, practicing penmanship, reading
skills, and general review of mathematics, science, and more). In essence, parents are receiving two services for the price of
one.
Play and Learn has a strong commitment to accessibility and diversity. Our open door policy embraces all who desire to provide
a better quality of care, preparedness, and education for their children. We work to provide affordable, first-class care giving and
education by providing a broad range of integrated programs, services, and innovative learning approaches.
We are committed to taking a leadership role in preschool services, higher learning, community services, and promoting cultural
diversity. Play and Learn directs its activities towards student success. We are committed to providing children with
