Bridging the gap in kindergarten readiness!
At Play and Learn, we teach the basics and so much more.  From learning social skills to
learning to read or write, we will help your child succeed.

Children who have attended the complete 3 year program, enter kindergarten ahead of
their classmates and are eager to learn even more.

We evaluate each individual child's progress on an ongoing basis, both formally and
informally.  Our teachers take daily notes remarking what activities children choose and
their level of understanding.  Regular lesson plans are created based on our daily
observation of each child.  New concepts appropriate to the sequence may be introduced
on an individual or small group basis.  We follow up with extending activities, repetition, or
variation depending on each child's needs.  Progress in skills, achievement, capacities,
and profiles in all areas of the curriculum are described to parents during our conferences.

We even provide you with a "report card" that includes over 90 concepts for you to use as
a progress report.  This report will show you what your child is learning and what they still
need to work on.  There are 5 reporting periods per year by closely following the MISD 9
week calendar for 1st through 4th in addition to a summer reporting period.

One of the best things about our program, is that it is all inclusive.  We DO NOT charge
extra for basic services such as computer aided learning, music awareness, introduction
to art, Fun Fit, or for the meals you or your child eat while attending.

Most importantly, our children will be learning while doing what they love to do - play!  We
will guide them into appropriate "play and learn" activities increasing the concepts
mastered.  For more information on the importance of playing, click
here.

As children mature and show readiness, they are introduced to new skills.  While there
are too many skills taught to list all of them, some are listed on the curriculum pages and
can be viewed by clicking on the navigation bar on the right.
