At Play and Learn, we believe that educational toys should be fun, encourage creativity, and spark a child's imagination. We
feature awesome arts and crafts, and spectacular toys for boys and girls.
An average day at Play and Learn may include hosting a puppet show, encouraging young sculptors to turn recycled junk
into works of art, and engaging in activities with local professionals. The occasional hullabaloo and the endless refrains of
"wow," "cool," and "look at this!" prove the popularity of Play and Learn.

Our Philosophy
Choosing a preschool may be the most important decision you can make for your child. When you pay for preschool, you
are making a critical investment. At Play & Learn, we provide excellent care in an environment that includes playing and
learning activities in a smaller, more family-like atmosphere instead of the large groups at a typical day care center. We
provide hands on assistance including preschool curriculum, computer experience, crafts, and many other planned
activities.
We realize that all children are precious gifts. They are the next generation and the promise of the future. As such they are
treated with love and respect in a warm and caring Christian atmosphere. At Play & Learn, we know that the primary
influence on a child comes from his or her home and parent(s).
Many hands join to foster the growth and development of children. We do not look at ourselves as replacing the parent.
Rather, we see ourselves as partners with the parent in morality based child-rearing. Parents who enroll their children at
Play and Learn are enlisting the help of our staff in the growth of their children. We are honored with such trust and
responsibility. With teachers at school and parents at home, together we create many learning experiences for the children.
These experiences help children learn about this wonderful world. The quality of those hours will shape a child's
emotional and social development for years to come.
Your child will receive lots of TLC in a safe, non-smoking environment. We will also provide nutritionally balanced meals
and snacks following our activity schedule. At Play & Learn, every child is guided through the day with positive
reinforcement in all activities, always encouraged to try or try again, and is never pressured into participation. Every child is
an individual who has his/her own rate of physical development and own pace of learning. Each child is accepted, loved,
nurtured, and taught as an individual with this thought in mind.

| Our Philosophy At A Glance Each child is unique and the preschool learning environment should reflect this basic fact. Our program is based on the Developmental Theory of Education, which states that there are known sequential stages in the child’s physical, social, mental and emotional growth and development. While there are predictable norms, each child is unique and needs to be guided in learning at his or her own pace in an environment which demonstrates loving care and acceptance. |
