Supply List
Please supply the following items of your choice yearly or as needed: a backpack or bag to carry their personal items, an extra change of clothes, a small comb or brush, tooth paste and a toothbrush with a cover. In addition, please supply diapers or Pull-ups until your child is completely toilet trained and a child seat or booster seat per the current Texas state law.
Also, we will be doing many art projects and need donations of the following items to recycle into projects: paper tubes, old magazines, plastic lids & bowls (like from margarine / butter), fruit baskets, scraps of office paper, plastic soda bottles, Pringle's Chips Cans, CDs (free AOL CDs etc), small milk cartons or jewelry boxes, and any other similar items.
Enrollment Requirements An initial registration conference and tour is required to discuss policies and procedures of the school, and answer any questions you may have about the program. Once the Registration fee has been paid, we will provide the appropriate forms for enrollment. Parents are encouraged to bring their child to the conference/tour to meet school staff and become familiar with the classroom and playground equipment. Most children feel much more comfortable in the program having had this initial short visit while the parent is with him or her. Please plan to spend about 45 - 70 minutes during this visit.
Play and Learn has a limited enrollment space due to low teacher to student ratios. Students will be enrolled in the order that completed registration forms and fees are received. Play and Learn requires that all students who enroll must:
 | | Be at least 18 months old by the day of the month that they are enrolling and be able to be separated from parent (for preschool only).
| | | Be current on all immunizations and must provide a current copy to be filed as needed.
| | | Completely fill out and return all required forms (at least 2 days prior to start date) and pay your curriculum fee (at least 5 days prior to start date)
|
Play and Learn charges a registration fee and a curriculum fee to help keep our tuition costs low. These fees help to off-set the cost of supplies used, personal work |
| | books, text books, licensing, and other related fees. This also provides your child with a t-shirt yearly. Please visit the Pre-Registration page for information on this fee or to pre-register. Visit the enrollment information page and click on the Term that your child will be attending for more information about each Term.
Admissions
Admission is open to children without discrimination on the basis of political affiliation, religion, race, color, gender, income, mental or physical disabilities on a first come, first served basis. For preschool services, children must be from 2 - 6 years of age. We also provide day care and after school services for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years old.
After completing a pre-registration form and visiting to the school, each family may apply for admission by completing and returning an application form. An assessment will be made after a child spends one to two weeks at Play and Learn and a provisional place may be offered. First priority in program placements is given to currently enrolled children and their siblings.
         | | day care from 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM. These children benefit from the preschool classes in addition to receiving day care services.
| | | preschool classes from 8 AM to 12 PM. Each day includes a custom, theme based curriculum, computer aided learning, and more in three terms with 5 reporting | | | periods, newsletter, and Kid's Night. Most of the area preschools charge monthly tuition rates between $250 to $700 that parents pay even when there is only 1 class day or 10 classes in a month due to school holidays. At Play and Learn, we do not charge a high monthly rate or for school holidays. Therefore, you only pay for the services you actually schedule instead of paying a monthly rate that is the same even when there are less school days.
